The next regular scheduled maintenance day for CSCS systems is Wednesday October 10th.

This maintenance’s interventions mainly concern GPFS, LDAP and DNS. However because  these are centralized services,  all systems have a strong possibility of interruption of services during the indicated timeframe.

The following systems will be affected  with the expected downtimes as indicated:

* Front-end system: Ela: 08:00 – 12:00 – system updates, 1 hr per machine, no expected interruption

* Cray XE6: Monte Rosa: no maintenance scheduled

* Cray XK6: Tödi: no maintenance scheduled

* Cray XMT: Matterhorn: no maintenance scheduled

* Intel SB Cluster: Pilatus: no maintenance scheduled

* SGI Altix UV: Rothorn: no maintenance scheduled

* Viz and post-processing:

Eiger: no maintenance scheduled

Piz Julier: no maintenance scheduled

* iDataPlex

Castor/Pollux: 08:00 – 18:00

1. POLLUX nodes integration into CASTOR Cluster
2. Full Cluster preventive reboot

* File System and Storage: /store:  08:30 – 10:30 upgrade of network interfaces

* LDAP and DB: LDAP: 8:30 – 10:30 possible short timeouts. If any, the downtimes will be no longer than 2 minutes

* DNS: updates/upgrades – 10:00 – 12:00 no expected interruption

Today is the regular scheduled maintenance day for CSCS systems.

Due to an infrastructure intervention all systems will be affected with the exception of Albis/Lema from 8:00 to 9:00.
